So many of us want glowing skin. Staying uber hydrated, staying out of the sun or using spf daily and committing to a daily skincare routine are essential.
And when a product that you have loved is no longer available, sometime it is hard to make a switch or to find a product that works as well.
This is the case with me right now with a few Beautycounter products being discontinued. The Rosewater Facial Spray was actually retired from the Beautycounter lineup a while back and the Brightening Facial Spray is now on the discontinued list for 2021, but I had not yet found a replacement that I wanted to share with all of you. But now I have. Check out Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist from Herbivore Botanicals. You can use this pre makeup, post makeup or just for a hydrating pick me up for dull or dry skin. I liberally spray across my face and neck in the afternoon slump. Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist won a 2020 Glamour Readers' Choice Beauty Award for Best Face Mist.
I learned about Herbivore Botanicals from the fabulous Ky Washington of Modern Green Goddess. When I took a gua sha class virtually with Ky, she recommended Herbivore Botanicals for my pink quartz gua sha. I met Ky through our work with educating about safer products with Beautycounter. She is my go-to for all things clean MAKEUP and if you need makeup instruction beyond my 5 minute get-out-the-door expertise, Ky is your person!
Another product that has left Beautycounter's lineup is the Cooling Eye Masks. I recently tried Tarte's Pack Your Bags Undereye Patches. While they were UBER hydrating and plumped up my wrinkles, there was no difference in under eye darkness. Luckily, the new creamy concealer from Beautycounter has great coverage with so little product.
And the last product that I will miss that is leaving Beautycounter's lineup in 2021 is the Glow Shimmer Oil. This was not a self tanner and not an spf product. This was a hydrating oil that left a slight shimmer. While looking for a great safe and high performing replacement, I did try Super Goop's Glow Oil spf 50. This will be a great product for an event where I need full makeup and will be in the sun. It is a light oil and leaves just a slight glow.
If you have any products that you love but you know are unsafe, shoot me an email and I will help you switch to a safer one that gives you great performance.
